Being a succesful student includes: 1. Be on time for class. 2. Be in your desk, ready to work when the bell rings. 3. Have paper, pen and/or sharpened pencil ready when the tardy bell rings. 4. Start on your homework as soon as you receive the assignment. 5. Turn in your homework on time. 6. Study at least ten minutes each night for next week's test. 7. Have a regular quiet place for studying. 8. Leave the television and radio off when studying or reading. 9. Read for a half of an hour each night. 10. Respect everyone. a. Do not talk when another is talking. b. Hold up your hand when you wish to talk. c. Call others by their given names. d. Leave others' property alone unless you have asked for permission at that time to use their property. 11. Stay on the task being done by the class. 12. If you finish an in-class assignment and there is still time left in class, work on your grammar packet. 13. Address all members of the staff by Mr., Ms., or Mrs. and their last names. 14. Always greet staff members and fellow students when passing them outside. 15. Always put forth your best effort on all your work. 16. Ask for clarification or help when you have difficulty understanding something. 17. Remember tutoring is available to help all students. Enrolling in tutoring demonstrates your disire to achieve at your highest possible level. 18. Do what your parent or guardian asks of you when it is asked. |
