COME VISIT THE SCIENCE FAIR

Congratulations to all the students on surviving another science fair experience. I am very proud of all the hard work you accomplished. Please join us to see the hard work this Tuesday evening (February 16th) from 5:30 to 7:00 in the large gym. It is truly an amazing sight to see all the learning that took place.

Read below to learn more about the substitute teacher.

WELCOME BACK
Welcome to the second quarter. We still have a LOT of exciting things to accomplish. We will be working with environmental issues, and then get to my favorite things (which I always save for last) and get to dive into rocks, minerals, and earth science. We will all make AMAZING Science Fair projects and it should be a great way to end our 7th grade experience.

As most of your students have probably told you, my husband and I are expecting our first child this month (January). I will be gone for about 6 weeks when the baby arrives. However, the school and I have made sure that we have a great, highly qualified long term substitute. His name is Kendrick Lasater. He has extensive background in Environmental Science which is what the students are working on in my absence. He is excited to work with the students not only in this regard but also with their wrap up of the science fair projects. You can use my email address to contact him and he will make sure to keep me apprised of anything needed. He has also been given an email address of his own, klasater@amphi.com . There is a link to it on the top of this page.

PLEASE always feel free to contact me with any concerns/needs. I am always willing to do what I can to make sure that your science class is as best as it can be.
