Kindergarten Hours
7:50-2:05.......Early Dismiss at 12:40 on Wednesdays

Absences and Tardies
If your child is absent please call the school office and let them know.
This is very important. If your child has been sick we ask that your child be free of symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school.

It is very important that your child be to school on time. Significant
daily routine items are missed that are important to your child's learning. If your child is late and comes to school after it has started they must report to the front office to get a tardy pass before they enter the classroom.

Notes
Please pin all notes on your child. Most children forget about that note you put in their backpack by the time that they get to school. If you pin it on the front of them I will see it. If I have an urgent important message for you I will do the same!

Toys
Toys are not allowed at school. Please keep your child's backpack cleared of toy items. If we see a toy we will ask the child to put it away and make sure that it does not come back to school. If we see the toy again it will be taken away and put into "The Toy Jail". The only way that your child will get back their toy is to have a parent come to school with them to "post bail" for the toy and discuss the toy rule together.

EXCEPTION: There may be a time when show and tell may allow a toy to come to school to represent a theme that we are sharing.

Homework
On Mondays your child will bring home an interactive homework activity. Most of it will require parent participation or guidance. All of the homework that your child will bring home coincides with the unit we are studying or a concept that we are learning about. Your child has until Friday to return it to school. At times I may send home extra homework with a student who may need extra practice with a skill. All homework is shared with classmates and recorded on a checklist. Remember to make it an important element in your child's education.
