Welcome to Fourth Grade Science!

This site is for students and parents to get more information about my classes. I will post general class information, information about specific projects, and links to some general science and math sites.
About Mrs. Scheffel
I have spent much of my life in Arizona, and graduated from Cross and CDO. I attended the University of Arizona, where I majored in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. From there I moved to Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California where I taught marine biology to groups of schoolchildren. I worked there for three years, then taught environmental education in other parts of California for several more years. I returned to Tucson and received my teaching certificate and Master's of Arts in Education from Chapman University. This is my tenth year teaching at Coronado. I started my career at Coronado in fourth grade, and I am happy to be returning! In addition to fourth grade I have also taught fifth grade and sixth grade science and math. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family, read, and travel whenever possible.
