Welcome to Eighth Grade Language Arts
|
This class synthesizes what students know through experience with concepts others throughout history and the local community have shared to create a larger picture of how we as individuals fit in as citizens of the world. We often explore meaning and understanding through writing, visual perception, as well as strategies of communicating our ideas.
Students should come prepared to think deeply and creatively with their supplies in hand. The following is useful in language arts:
- Three-ring notebook to keep in class
- box of pencils
- College ruled paper
- two pink erasers
- box of pencil top erasers
- pencil sharpener
- 6 subject dividers with pockets
- colored pencils or markers
