Private Instruction
Most of the rehearsal time in the classroom is dedicated to working on skills common to a majority of players in the orchestra/class and to working on the individual pieces selected for performance by that group. Unfortunately, there is very little time left to work on specific playing skills for each individual student.

Our 7th and 8th grade students are encouraged to come to the orchestra room during lunch or AA period (with a pass) as their schedule and my time permit. I'm happy to help them with specific problem areas or with specific skill issues with which they may need help. Unfortunately, the 6th grade lunch conflicts with my class schedule.

I highly recommend that students take lessons privately if possible, either all year long or as much as they can. I give private lessons to some of our beginning and intermediate level students. Please feel free to contact me for information on private lessons. I also have several very qualified instructors who I recommend for intermediate and our more advanced students. Please contact any of the instructors below for specific information on location, pricing, availability, etc. In an effort to keep our program at the highest possible level, it's important for the students who strive for success to be given the tools and encouragement to do so.
