| | Contact Ms. Spillane | | My philosopy of teaching is that one must teach "the whole child" for optimum learning to occur. I strive to get to know each one of my students (and their families), to make learning fun, and to teach each student at his or her level. |

Welcome to Ms. Spillane's Web Page!

I am a native Tucsonan, but I have lived in many other places. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with both my B.S. and M.A. in education, lived in California for two years, and taught at a bilingual school in Guatemala City. In Guatemala, I learned to speak Spanish which has helped me a lot here at Prince Elementary School. I currently teach English to newcomers from all over the world! Learning about my students and their cultures is one of the things I love most about teaching. When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling the world, hiking, riding horses, and most of all Latin dancing. My dream is to end up on “Dancing with the Stars” some day. I just have to become a star first.
All of my students need help learning English and in all academic areas. If you would like to volunteer during the day or after-school, please feel free to contact me. |
