Welcome to Ms. Spillane's Class Web Page!
My philosopy of teaching is that one must teach "the whole child" for optimum learning to occur. I strive to get to know each one of my students (and their families), to make learning fun, and to teach each student at his or her level.

Welcome to Ms. Spillane's Web Page!
I am a native Tucsonan, but I have lived in many other places. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with both my B.S. and M.A. in education, lived in California for two years, and taught at a bilingual school in Guatemala City. In Guatemala, I learned to speak Spanish which has helped me a lot here at Prince Elementary School. I currently teach English to newcomers from all over the world! Learning about my students and their cultures is one of the things I love most about teaching. When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling the world, hiking, riding horses, and most of all Latin dancing. My dream is to end up on “Dancing with the Stars” some day. I just have to become a star first.

All of my students need help learning English and in all academic areas. If you would like to volunteer during the day or after-school, please feel free to contact me.
