Title I Reading Secialist
We use the program, Making Words daily to introduce, review, sort and transfer word patterns. Soar to Success and Early Success classes focus on reading strategies to help the student become a more successful reader.

Education, Experience, Family
I graduated from the University of Arizona where I received my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. I then went on to earn a Master's Degreee in Education, with Reading as my specialty area.
I taught in District #1 (TUSD) for ten years. I taught grades 2nd through 5th on the East side of town as well as the innercity schools. I have been at Walker for 4 1/2 years as a Title I Reading Specialist, teaching grades 2nd through 5th to students who need that little extra boost to become a success in the classroom. I enjoy teaching and know that those who are in my classes learn to appreciate the value of literacy skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing and incorporate these skills in their daily lives.
I have two grown children, a daughter and a son who both reside out of state. I also have two grand-children.
