| Welcome to 8th grade REACH Humanities! Students will be involved in a multitude of creative problem solving activities and projects relating to the American historical time period they are studying. They will be going to the library and computer labs often to do research. They are expected to turn in 10 current events per quarter, and may share these throughout the week. A folder is kept in class for these and they will have the newspaper and internet news sources available to them. Homework will be 2-3 times a week and will also be kept in a folder in class. Students will also be involved in a Peace Corp program on Fridays and will have a Peace Corp Volunteer as a pen pal. This program will focus on the problem of water in Africa. This should be an exciting addition to this program. |
