Death by Briana
It comes soft
It comes slow
Stalking its prey
Slowly killing
Your heart stops Your breath
shortens Your eyes get darker
Your brain dies SLOWLY SLOWLY
SLOWLY
It comes soft
It comes slow
Stalking its prey
Slowly killing
Your mind stopsYour heart
goes thump...thump...thump
Slowly but surley
It comes soft
It comes slow
stalking its prey
slowly killing
A bright light appears you`ve
grown wings you are now
reborn you flap your wings up
to join the angels

Death can be sad but those
loved ones who have passed
are allways watching in
HEAVEN.

BMX Racing by Greg F.
When I'm in the gate
I'm pumped up and scared.
Then the gate drops and
I'm extremely excited,
but terrified, too.
Finally I'm at the first turn
and I'm breathing hard,
but I'm looking frequently at the person hitting me!!!!

Then I'm at the rhythm section.
I'm pumping my arms back and forth.
When I'm at the second turn,
I'm happy as a dog getting water in 100 degree weather,
but terrified, frightened about crashing
and the fans are yelling and cheering.

I'm getting extremely dehydrated
and my legs are about to fall off.

Now I'm at the finish line
and I'm pleased.

Friendship by Stephanie R.
Friendship is like a birthday present you've always wanted.
Friendship is nothing you can buy yourself into,
You have to have a "ding-dong" go off inside you.

Friendship is as beautiful as the springtime flowers,
Smelling fresh in the springtime breeze.
Friendship is a relationship between two people who have some things in common.
Friendship...everytime I hear that "ding-dong" in my head,
I always know that I have friends who are by my side.

Friendship is a clock going "tick-tock, tick-tock."
The when you find friendship, the clock goes off, "Rrrringggg,"
As if you were ready to wake up and start a new day.
Friendship is as wonderful as family time at a holiday or birthday.

My Familyl by Nate C.
My family is like a rock that never breaks apart.
We may get mad at each other, but we are still family.
We also might split apart, but we still keep in touch
Like a dolphin that communicates to find his family.
We will always love each other, even when we die.

Couplets by Karen E.

Cats, cats, with fluffy hair,
Leaving fluffy hair over there.

Chris by Chris
My hair is like a quail waking down the trail.
My eyes are brown and as sharp as an eagle's.
My smile is as bright as an apple ready for fall out of the tree.
My skin is as tough as a lizard that sits in the sun.
My hands are as big as the claws of a bear fishing in the creek.
My body is as tall as a giraffe eating from a tree.
My voice is as loud as a lion roaring in the jungle.
My mind is as quick as a cheetah running for the kill.
My heart is as big as a balloon flying in the sky.
I am Chris, happy as my puppy.
