The Beginning Years I began my teaching career in Flagstaff, Arizona where I received my Masters in Music Education from NAU. At this time, I taught elementary music classes and band. While I worked on my Masters, I also earned my Special Reading certification. Nine Years For nine years I taught as a Reading Specialist and continued graduate school to receive my endorsements in ESL, elementary education, and secondary education. The Next Six Years When the school I taught at re-designed their programs, I began teaching 2nd grade with ESL students, which I enjoyed for 6 years. Our Tucson Move My family then moved to Tucson in 1996 and I have been teaching SEI (ESL) at Harelson, Holaway (for one year), and Cross Middle School. My Family I have a wonderful family. My husband (Mr. Juárez), my son (Manny), and I enjoy baseball. We try to watch as many of the D'Back games as we can. We also enjoy playing with our little dog Rascal. He is certainly a little Rascal!
