The Beginning Years
I began my teaching career in Flagstaff, Arizona where I received my Masters in Music Education from NAU. At this time, I taught elementary music classes and band. While I worked on my Masters, I also earned my Special Reading certification. |

For nine years I taught as a Reading Specialist and continued graduate school to receive my endorsements in ESL, elementary education, and secondary education. I now have a Language Arts certification, too. |

When the school I taught at re-designed their programs, I began teaching 2nd grade with ESL students, which I enjoyed for 6 years. |
|
|
|
My family then moved to Tucson in 1996 and I have been teaching SEI (ESL) at Harelson, Holaway (for one year), and at Cross Middle School. |
|
|
|
I have a wonderful family. My husband (Mr. Juárez), my son (Manny), and I enjoy watching baseball, football, and lacrosse. Lacrosse is a thrilling sport to watch, as my son plays on a local team. We also enjoy playing with our little dog Rascal. He is certainly a little Rascal! |
