| A Tucson transplant, I am originally from the tropics, first Vietnam where I was born and Florida where I grew up. My college years were spent in New England where I met my husband. Upon our return from overseas travel, my husband and I completed our graduate studies at the University of Arizona. Today, we are raising two children, ages five and seven, who keep us plenty busy. When I am not teaching, I can be found in the pottery studio throwing clay around on the wheel. My favorite things to do are reading the Book Review section of the New York Times while drinking a cup of chai tea latte. I love the challenges teaching brings and the opportunity to work with children at different levels. While writing and math are my favorite subjects, I also enjoy social studies and reading which is why I choose to teach at the elementary level. |
