One of our literacy activities is called a predictable chart. Students dictate sentences which follow a pattern. We read the sentences together and individually,we cut them up and put them back together to make meaning, and we illustrate them to create a class book. Predictable chart activities include working on building a sight word vocabulary, modeling writing with correct conventions, work on verb tenses, and building confidence in reading. |
