September 11, 2009 was our first buddy day! The kindergarten students did some reader's theater and acted out the story of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom for their third grade buddies. |

After the performance, every kindergartener was paired up with a third grader. Third graders read to their kindergarten buddies, and some of the kindergarten students read to their third grade buddies, too! We will continue this buddy program with an emphasis on reading throughout the school year. |
