| The most important kindergarten homework is to read every night. Parents can read to children, children can read to parents, children can read with siblings....any and all reading counts. Please make sure your child reads 20-30 minutes per night and colors in a square in the reading calendar. Return your calendar at the end of the month for a Book It! pizza coupon. Additional weekly homework assignments can be found in the upper right hand corner of the newsletter. If the weekly homework requires a worksheet, you can find it in the Friday folder. |

| To print the reading calendar for the appropriate month, please click on the "reading calendars" link. Next, look at the bottom of the calendar. You will see numbered tabs along the bottom. Page 1 is the August calendar. For September, click on page 2, click on page 3 for October, etc. |
