Welcome to ELL Language Arts Level THREE and FOUR, Grades 6 - 8
Welcome to Ms. Shraier's ELL Language Arts classes for the 2009-2010 school year. It is a privilege to be part of your child's education and new language acquisition! As a teacher, my objective is to create a COMMUNITY within my classes where each student feels safe and comfortable enough to take risks while learning the language. Utilizing an "all-English" approach, I want students to explore and be challenged by their second language learning. We experiment with spoken and written English while learning new vocabulary and sentence structure.
About Me
I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English and have also earned a Master's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona. I began teaching in 1986, and have taught both middle and high school English. This is my sixth year at Amphitheater Middle School. I have also taught at Amphitheater High School and Coronado Middle School. I am very pleased to be part of the Amphi Middle School community.
