Behavior
Our classroom is a work zone; any behavior that makes it difficult for the class to work will not be tolerated.

Please Remember Our Class Rules:
1. Be polite and kind
2. Raise your hand to speak to the group
3. Follow directions quickly
4. Work to learn

If you cannot follow these expectations, you may lose recess, have your seat moved, be sent to RTC, or another consequence.

Working Expectations
It is a scientific fact that students who work harder learn more!

During classtime, you are expected to participate in class activities, share ideas and materials with the group, take turns, and work hard.

You can work hard by being organized, trying all of the examples and activities during class, and paying attention to the thinking skills we use during class. Asking questions when you don't understand something is a great way to learn!

Grading Information
YOUR GRADES REFLECT YOUR EFFORT!

Classwork, homework, projects, participation, and tests will be given to determine your grades. Work will be considered satisfactory if it is complete, on time, and includes names and dates.

Remember: Reduced credit will be given on work that is incomplete, late, sloppy or needs to be redone, or work that is missing the name or date.

Procedures
Entering the Classroom: finish your conversations, enter quietly, read the directions, and begin working.

In the morning: finish your conversations, enter quietly, read the directions, and begin your morning assignment. You may sharpen pencils and fill up water bottles.

Leaving the Classroom: the group will be dismissed when the speaker is finished talking and the room has been cleaned up.

On the Playground: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PLAY FIGHTING! If you cannot follow the playground rules, you will not be allowed to use the playground.

In the Hallway: there is absolutely no talking in the hallway, as other classes may be in session. Talking will result in the entire group returning to the room.

In the Lunchroom and Bathrooms: do your business quietly, don't make a mess, and leave politely when you are done!
