Leaves
It's time for the leaves to turn!
Hello and welcome to my webpage!

Here are some daily procedures you will need to keep in mind for this year.
• Students may only bring healthy snacks such as fruit, crackers, cheese, and vegetables, to name a few.
• Students need to have water bottles that have tight lids. We need to cut down on water breaks and distractions during classtime.

Remember to check out all the links to the left as well as check your grades periodically. The following is some of what we'll be covering this month.

Language Arts: Using the Sitton Spelling Program, we will be working on not only our "Core Words" but also on the suffix -er, prefixes, apostrophes and contractions. The next book report will be due the Monday before Thanksgiving, be on the lookout for information coming home soon. Also, we are using informational text to practice note taking and summary writing as we "dress-up" our sentences with adverbs and who/which statements.

Math: After finishing the graphing chapters, we have now moved into multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals. We will then covre Number Theory and basic fraction concepts.

Science: We have begun our study of Energy and Motions with Simple Machines. This will be done through educational videos from the Discovery Channel, textbooks, educational supplements and hands-on activities.
