Welcome
Welcome to Wilson K-8 school. You are in Wrangler country and we are Mrs. Wilson's Wranglers! This is my 30th year teaching! I have taught First grade, Special Education and Kindergarten. I graduated from Youngstown State University in Ohio with a dual major in Elementary and Special Education. I received my Master's degree from Northern Arizona University in Elementary Education with an emphasis on reading. My husband, John and I have 3 daughters Kristin, Denna, and Stacy and 9(!!!) grandchildren ages 17 down to 4 months. Beyond loving Kindergarteners and teaching, I enjoy reading, bike riding, crafting, gardening, and cooking. I love to entertain friends and family and being outdoors. I live next to a wash and find immense joy in watching the birds that visit my feeders along with all the interesting desert animals that use "my" wash each day.

This Year...
Our Kindergarten year will be filled with develomentally appropriate activities and learning based on state standards. This will be accomplished using lots of hands on learning and discovery based education. I believe chidren learn best in an environment where they feel comfortable and cared for. I will work hard to ensure your child feels safe and happy. Our classroom is an exciting fun filled place to learn. You were and are your child's first and best teacher. I hope you will continue to be so as your child begins their school journey. I look forward to working along side you this year as we help your child be the best they can be! Always feel free to call, e-mail, or send a note if you need to talk with me.
