We ALL have gifts. We don't all have opportunities. Use yours.

REACH is the Amphitheater School District's name for gifted services. We serve the needs of those students identified as gifted in the verbal, quantitative, or non-verbal areas.

Middle school REACH students attend humanities class instead of social studies. The humanities classes cover the Arizona state social studies standards through literature, art, and music.

Testing for the gifted program is done once a year at Cross in February or early March. Students are tested using the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) and the Naglieri Nonverbal Abilities Test (NNAT). In order for a child to be tested a permission to test form must be filled out and on file with the REACH department. Permission to test forms are available on the internet (see link on the left), in the school office, or from the REACH teacher. Parents or teachers can refer a child to be tested.
