About Ms. Garcia
|
I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and my family moved to Tucson in 1969. My parents are from Chihuahua, Mexico and have been a strong cultural influence in my life. I've been lucky to enjoy the best of two worlds.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Elementary Education in 1997. I am very fortunate to work with my students in Grades 2-5 to help improve reading and math skills. You can also find me working the after school and Saturday programs with our English language learners.
I encourage my students to aim high and prepare themselves for college and work hard towards an exciting future career that is based on their passions.
