Helpful Information for the Band and Orchestra Classes |

| GRADES |
Students should come prepared to class with all necessary supplies. Grades in band and orchestra are earned for class participation and assignments, playing and written tests, weekly practice records (homework), and concert attendance.

| CONCERT DATES: |
Concert dates have been scheduled for the year. Please mark your calendars now to avoid conflicts. If there are changes or additions, I will notify you as soon as possible by sending written correspondence home with your child. We can't wait to perform for you--plan on bringing family and friends!
Concert Dates in 2004-2005 for band and orchestra:

March 3rd
May 16th
There will also be a district festival , usually held in March or April.
Concert Uniforms--Our AMS students wear black and white for all concerts--no shorts please. Boys may wear a plain white shirt (short or long sleeves) and black pants. Girls may wear dresses, white shirts and black skirts, or white shirts and black pants. Pride in our appearance helps us show pride in who we are and in what we are trying to accomplish. |
| SCHOOL INSTRUMENTS |
A limited number of school instruments are available for student use. There is no user fee. However, if an instrument is broken by a student, payment for the repair is the responsibility of the student/family. |
