Desert Museum
We will go to the Desert Museum on

March 30th. This is part of our desert unit of study

and a step in the writing process of the research paper

each child will write.

Hooray for tax credit money!
Special Classroom Presentations
(Tax credit money paid for these.)

We had two special presentations brought to our classroom from The Wildlife Museum. The Wildlife Museum instructor taught the children about animal diversity and reptiles in our room on March 26th and April 2nd. Each presentation was one hour.

We had Annawon Weeden come to our school from Massachusettes to teach about the Wampanoag People and the first Thanksgiving. Annawon is a Wampanoag Indian.

We had two hands on science lessons from Mad Science. The sessions were one hour. The children learned about the earth at one session (Earth Works) and about solids, liquids and gas (Dry Ice) at the other session.

You can see some pictures of these special presentations by going to the Photo Gallery link on this website.

I AM HOPING WE'LL BE ABLE TO DO THIS AGAIN THIS SCHOOL YEAR. WE'LL NEED TAX CREDIT MONEY FOR THESE PRESENTATIONS TO HAPPEN.

We went on this extra trip
because of tax credit money on March 13. The children saw the show, Randy Rocket, explored a collection of minerals, and experienced the exhibits. The students learned about the solar system during the show.

I am hoping that we'll get tax credit money this year so we can take this extra field trip this year.
