Classroom Rules |
1. Be kind.
2. Never keep others from learning.
3. Raise your hand when you want to speak.
4. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
If a student chooses not to follow a rule, the student writes a W (warning)and the rule number that was not followed on the Behavior/Work sheet. If the student chooses to not follow other rules on the same day, the student writes a check and the rule number. The consequence for more than one rule not followed on the same day is loss of recess time, depending on the number of checks.
If a student receives a warning for not following rules during one of the Special Classes, it is recorded on the sheet in the box that says "follows rules" on the Behavior/Work Sheet.
If all rules were followed the entire day, the student will record a C (consistent) on the sheet. If 1 rule was broken an O (Often) will be recorded. If more than one rule was broken an I (Improvement Needed) will be recorded.
There is a box for following rules for each day of the week.
Behavior/Work Sheets will be sent home every Monday. Please review the sheet each week with your child, sign the back and help your child remember to return the sheet to school the next day. Feel free to add any comments on the back. Children who have all C's recorded on their sheet for the entire week are allowed to choose from the treasure chest.
Children who don't return their Behavior/Work Sheets by Friday of each week will lose the morning recess until the sheet is returned. |
