Rules for my classroom are very simple. Students are to be courteous, cooperative, and considerate of others.

Examples of courteous behavior:
*Not shouting out answers when others are called on.
*Being prepared for class.
*Keeping inappropriate comments to yourself.
*Remain seated during classroom instructional time.
*Treating others as you would like to be treated.

Examples of cooperative behavior:
*Picking up after yourself.
*Working appropriately in class when given time.
*Respecting others as well as respecting yourself.

Examples of considerate behavior:
*Keeping inappropriate comments to yourself.
*Not interrupting others when they are speaking.
*Acting appropriately in all situations.

Regarding calculators:
We will use calculators to find daily percents, however, unless stated students are NOT to use calculators on their homework. Not using a calculator emphasizes basic skills that students constantly have to recall to be successful in math.
