About me


My native country is Mexico in which I grew up and studied the profession of Social Worker. I graduated in 1986 from The University of Sonora.
I have been in the city of Tucson since 1987. My calling is to help students and their families to improve educationally and socially.

The primary mission of Student/Family Advocates in Amphitheater is to:

To help students and their families remove barriers to attain the successful completion of the students' public education at Title 1 schools.

The Student/Family Advocate Program

Encourages and supports the involvement of parents to deal with school/community issues which affect the education of their children. The program AIMS to help families help themselves by facilitating communication between the home, school and community.

Program Goals


  • Stress the importance of education and attendance.

  • Support the district's Handbook of information and student guidelines.

  • Build and maintain community and school relationships.

  • Encourage and increase parental involvement in schools.

  • Help students and families succeed in school.

  • Increase awareness of the Amphi Student/Family Advocate Program.

  • To provide referral services to community agencies which meet student and family needs.


Student/Family Advocate

We count with help and support for our students who have the opportunity to attend school in one of our Amphitheater District Sites, so they will be able to succeed professionally and personally. This supports includes basics, such as, food, clothing, footwear, housing, utilities, furniture, school assistance, dental, glasses, health, interpreter if necessary, any information about Keeling and more...
