WELCOME TO PAINTED SKY VISUAL ARTS

Welcome to Painted Sky, Amphitheater's newest elementary school. My name is Cathy Burg and I am very excited about the third year of this school. I guess I should tell a little about myself for those who are new to Painted Sky. I was born and raised in Iowa. I entered the Air Force after receiving my BA in Education from Iowa State University. I served for 4 years, attaining the rank of Captain, then left the Air Force to raise my family. My husband, Jim, works for Raytheon (previously Hughes). We lived in southern California for 8 years before being transferred to Tucson. Our oldest son, Christopher, is a Freshman at UA. Our second son, Anthony, is a Junior at Ironwood Ridge. Our youngest is Jennifer. She is an Freshman at Ironwood Ridge this year. I transferred to Painted Sky from Mesa Verde, where I taught for 4 years. I am very happy to be continuing with this wonderful staff and to be part of the exceptional education Painted Sky students will receive this year. I have an open door policy and welcome any/all volunteers in the art room. Please stop in and say hello.
