The Amphitheater School District was one of several districts in Arizona
to receive grant monies as part of the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund.
The purpose of the monies is to educate teachers in the areas of technology
and the Internet. This site was designed to allow our TLCF teachers to
share some of the lesson plans they have developed as well as some of the
other information they have found while learning about technology and the
Internet.
The main component of this site is the TLCF Web Guides. The guides
are a collection of lesson plans, incorporating the Internet, for students
in grades K-5 that incorporate the Internet. Each lesson plan is tied to
the Arizona State Standards and the district's curriculum framework. The
lesson plans are broken down into two sections; teacher guides and student
activities.
The teachers have also developed other types of lessons while working
with TLCF. Their projects include: TrackStar and Filamentality lessons,
and other lesson plans. For people who are interested in viewing resources
used in developing and maintaining our TLCF program there is also a link.
These resources include training materials and other documentation. We
have also compiled a list of our favorite sites which you can also access.
Please explore and implement these pages! If you have questions or comments
about the lessons, the project, or any of the pages, please contact Patti
Greenleaf.
