Success For All Roots       I am very pleased this year to be teaching a beginning Roots class.  At this time I have 16 eager students who are rapidly learning to read.       It is very important that the students practice their homework book and shared sheet EVERY NIGHT.  Please sign and date the book or initial the Shared Treasure Sheet or Shared Writing Sheet so your child can receive a stamp each day.  If your child does not return to school each day with a signed book they will receive a pink slip and miss recess for that day.  The pink slip must be sign by a parent and returned to me the following day. Practicing to read at home influences your child's success in reading.      At this time your child should be bringing home:        Stories 20 through 25, the "yellow books".  After  book 25 we will be moving into the "green books".

Please remember that your child may travel to another class for SFA.  The children are grouped by ability level and may read with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade teacher, an ESL or Special Education teacher.
