Organization

Backpack

1. There should be no loose papers in your backpack.

2. Clean out your backpack at least once each week.

Notebook

1. Keep a notebook or section in your notebook for each class.

2. Do not keep scratch paper or doodling papers.

3. Work in order, in the correct notebook or section. Do not skip around.

4. Save all papers until the test or you begin a new unit.

5. Clean out your notebook regularly.

Assignment Book

1. Write all assignments down.

2. Write something for each class, even if you do not have homework.

3. Always check your assignment book when you get home.

4. Look ahead at long-term projects.

5. Know what is expected of you tomorrow.

Homework Folder

1. Keep assignments to do in the left pocket.

2. Keep work to turn in, in the right pocket.

3. Keep all assignment calendars and long-term worksheets and assignments in the center.

4. Fill out your Grade Record Sheet every Thursday.

Make-up work

1. Accomplish as much work while absent as possible.

2. It is your responsibility to find out all of your assignments missed.

3. Try your best to never miss a day.

4. Check the designated place in each class for make up work.

5. Make sure that you turn in any work that was due the day you were absent.

6. Check voice mail and your assignments sheets to know if you have missed an assignment while absent.

7. Photocopy, then copy by hand, a friend’s notes when absent.

8. If you are absent you may request assignments from school before 7:30 am.

9. See the teacher before or after class to determine what you missed.

10. You will be given one day to make up your work for each day you are absent, plus one day of grace.

11. Have a study buddy that you can call on to get help and learn your assignments.
