Ironwood Ridge High School Taekwondo,
Why teach Taekwondo in High Schools? As
an art Taekwondo looks to improve each person both physically and
mentally. Seeking perfection of character to improve society as a
whole. As a sport, it is now an Olympic
sport with worldwide participation, it is challenging, exciting and
demanding. Tenets such as courtesy, honor, integrity, perseverance,and
self control are constantly taught and practiced in a safe and
structured environment. All would agree that High School students would
benefit from such a program. Classes are currently offered at Ironwood Ridge High School. Benefits
of training: Strength, Stamina, Agility, Quickness, Flexibility,
Coordination, Self Control, Perseverance, Integrity, Confidence.
