Africa: The Art of a Continent - an on-line exhibition of African artwork sponsored by the Guggenheim Museum. The exhibition ranges from the tools and rock art of early humans to objects created in the 20th century. Students can click on a map of Africa to read and see about the art in that area.

EXPO Ticket Office (Museum Tours)- provides free tours to six major Internet exhibits. 

Fine Art Museums of San Francisco - allows users to search the complete collections of fine arts museums in San Francisco. 

Manos de Oaxaca - provides information, stories, and pictures about the potters from Oaxaca, Mexico.

Michelangelo - students can learn about the life and work of Michelangelo Buonarroti.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Online Collections - contains 3,500 images from over 20 departments. It provides a timeline of art history, period tours, director's tour and much more.

Museum Computer Network - provides links to a large number of museums all over the world, with links to museums in Africa and Middle East, Asia, Europe, South America, Antarctica, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania, and North America.

Museums in the USA - provides an alphabetical list of online museums in the United States.  In addition you can search by name, type, or state.

Native American Indian Art - a wonderful collection of pictures, definitions, and stories of Native American pottery, sculpture, clothing, beadwork and regalia.

Sistine Chapel - A virtual tour of the Sistine Chapel with more than 325 images of the chapel.

Smithsonian American Art Museum - provides hundreds of images and virtual exhibits from this museum and includes some Real Audio introductions. 

Time Life Photo Sight - a series of photographs and photo essays from Time magazines photo collection.

WebMuseum, Paris - provides links to special art exhibits and a link to famous paintings that can be explored from an artist index or by themes ranging from Gothic paintings to 20th century art. The site has text and images about the artist and their work.

World Art Treasures- provides links to art from Egypt, China, Japan, India, and Europe.

CyberKids - a free online magazine with stories and artwork created by students.

Music Education
Classical Net: Quick Composer Reference - provides biographical information about many of the great composers.

Classical Music - provides links and information about music.

Folk Music - provides information and links about folk music and musicians.
