You will be working in a group of four to create a tool (checklist or rubric) students can use to effectively evaluate web pages. Each of you will be creating the tool from a different perspective.

You will:

• Look at a variety of web page criteria.
• Analyze and synthesize the criteria to create a checklist or rubric that is appropriate for your students.
• Type your checklist or rubric in Microsoft Word or Excel.
• Test your tool at selected web pages to evaluate the effectiveness.
• Make any necessary modifications to your tool.
• Share your tool with your facilitator and the rest of the group.
