Imperial Palace

The Imperial Palaces is located in the center of Tokyo on the site of the Edo Castle. The Emperor of Japan and his family live in the Imperial Palace. The Imperial Palace is closed to the public except for January 2nd and the Emperor's birthday. The public can view the gardens of the palace including the Outer Garden - Kokyo Gaien, and the East Garden - Higashi Gyoen. The best location to get a view of the Palace is from Niju-bashi Bridge shown in the picture above.
