Ryotanji Temple

Ryotanji temple was founded in 733 by the Priest Gyoki who enshrined a
Buddhist image here. The floors are called "Nightingale Floors" because they make
a special sound when you walk on them. Ryotanji is famous for its beautiful Japanese
garden designed by Enshu Kobori that can best be viewed when sitting on the terrace. Ryotanji is also known for the wood carving
of the dragon and dragon screen shown below.
