The Boston Massacre

One event that led to American Revolution was the Boston Massacre. On March 5, 1770, a Boston crowd began throwing rocks and snowballs at a group of soldiers. Someone shouted fire and the troops emptied their guns into the mob. When the smoke cleared, four people laid dead or dying. The leader of protest was a runaway slave named Crispus Attucks. He was one of the victims of the Boston Massacre. For years March 5th was known as Massacre Day in Boston.
