Configuring FTP through the Proxy

Note:  You only need to configure your FTP program to go through the proxy if you are inside the District, trying to FTP outside of the District.  Anyone who FTPs within the District or uses FTP from a home computer to connect to Amphi servers does not need to do this.

Configuring FTP through the proxy using WS_FTP LE or WS_FTP 95:

1.  Open WS_FTP so that the log on screen is showing.

2.  Click on the firewall tab at the top of the log on dialog box.

3.  Check the Use Firewall box and type in proxy.amphi.com for the Host Name.  Enter 21 for the port.  Under Firewall Type select USER with no logon.

4.  When you have done this, click OK.  You are now configured to go through the proxy and you may return to the General tab and log on as you normally do.

Configuring FTP through the Proxy with Leech FTP:

1.  Open Leech FTP, click the File button, and scroll down to options.

2.  Click the Firewall tab on the box that appears.  Under Firewall Settings select USER@HOST.  For host name and port of proxy server type proxy.amphi.com:21.  Click the Accept button and you will now be configured to go through the proxy using LeechFTP.
