Brief Description

This is a collaborative project in which students will learn about water usage in their homes and in homes around the world.

Technological Pre-Requisite Technology Skills Materials

Computers with access to the Internet, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Student Worksheets created in Microsoft Word with instructions for completeing this Internet project.
Personal Water Usage Charts for all students and their family members that will be participating in this project.
Copy of the Personal Water Usage Chart and Household Water Use Chart on each computer.

Accommodations for Special Needs

Students with special needs will be working next to students that are able to help them with this lesson. The criteria used to assess these students will be modified.

Procedures

Part II - Working in small groups students will complete lessons 2-5 Assessment

Students will be assessed on their completed and printed worksheets.
Performance on individual worksheets will be evaluated both on quality of answers and on effort given during household data collection.
Performance on group worksheets will be evaluated on quality of hypothesis, predictions and explanation of results.
