Brief Description
This lesson is Part II of a
long term project. Part I of this lesson can be found at the following

Students will use the information
from the Part I lesson to create a PowerPoint presentation that describes
the computer system they want to purchase and includes an explanation of
their choice.

have modified criteria for their final presentation created in Microsoft
PowerPoint.

Complete Part I of
this lesson titled "Bridging the Technology Language Barrier". This lesson

Explain expectations and
criteria for PowerPoint presentation

Presentation must have at least
6 slides

One slide must be the title slide
which will contain a picture of you
-
One slide must be your conclusion
describing what you thought about this project and how you will be able
to use the skills you have learned in the future

One slide should describe the
computer system that you decided to purchase. This should include details
such as company, model, drives, memory, etc.

Your project should give details
about any extra peripherals that you purchased such as a printer, speakers,
or extra memory

Your project should include details
about the final cost
-
Your project should include an
explanation of why you think it was important to have a good understanding
of the vocabulary words that you defined in Part I of this lesson.

Your project should list at least
five vocabulary words and your explanation of how understanding the definitions
of these words helped you make a good decision for your purchase.

Slides should each include at
least one graphic that contributes to the content of your presentation

Presentation should include transitions,
animations, and sounds
-
Slide layout and design should
be visually pleasing
Create a plan for presentation
on paper which includes order of slides and what text, graphic, etc. will
be included on each slide.
Demonstrate how to copy images
from Internet sites and then paste images into PowerPoint presentation
Demonstrate how to import
pictures taken with digital camera
Students present projects
to the class and answer questions about techniques or any information included
in their presentation
