Brief Description
The students work as a team
to brainstorm an everyday problem/issue that is of importance to them.
Following the identification of the problem/issue, the students develop
a multi-media presentation to defend their point of view or solution.

with a variety of technological tools/functions including Internet searching,
word processing, digital camera, scanner, PowerPoint, Excel, video, Kid
Pix Deluxe 3, etc.

Procedures

Students are assigned to particular
groups.

As a group, the students brainstorm
a problem or issue that causes them or those they know concern.

Following discussion of a variety
of problem areas/topics, the students determine which problem they will
uncover, analyze, research and manage.

Students develop criteria for
collecting data in chosen area.

Students compare technology tools
and choose best way to collect necessary data.

Students select technology tool(s)
to interpret the data.

Students interpret the necessary
data.

Students develop a visual portrayal
