Brief Description

Students will be learning about the three kinds of rocks.  By the end of the lesson they will be able to discuss the difference between each kind of rocks and also be able to give examples of each.

  1. Teacher will begin a review discussion about classification, formation, and samples of rocks.
  2. Teacher will explain the expectation of reading the Rock Hound site as well as the completing of the Fun Brain Quiz on rocks.
  3. Students will complete the quiz at their own pace while searching for the answers on Rock Hound site.
  4. Students will be allowed to browse through other rock sites until everyone has completed the quiz.
