Procedures
-
Choose one of your fondest memories
from your childhood. Make sure you choose one that other people were
eyewitnesses to such as your parents, relatives or close friends.
-
Using Kidspiration, record as
many details as you can remember. Print your memories in the format
that you like best: graphic organizer or outline form.
-
Compose an e-mail message to a
relative or friend that witnessed your special event. Ask questions
that will give you a clearer picture of what happened from their point
of view. Tell them that you are on a deadline and to return your
message by the stated time. Send the message to yourself so you know
if it was successfully sent.
-
Find a picture of yourself during
the event or when you were that age. Scan the picture onto your disc.
-
Load your disc into the digial
camera. Have your partner take two or three picture of you in different
settings and close ups. Check to make sure the pictures are on your
disc.
-
Write your memory using the checklist
as your guide. Spell check and grammar check. Share with a partner to proof
read . Revise.
-
Insert your pictures .
-
Print in black and white.
Revise for a final printing in color.
Assessment
The checklist
acts as the assessment tool for the writing portion of this project.
Successful printing of a document
with pictures is the technical assessment. Use telecommunications efficiently
and effectively to access remote information and communicate with others
in support of facilitated and independent learning.
