Procedures
Students will visit the web page (http://www.amphi.com/~lmitchel/food.html). On this page they will be presented with a problem to solve. They will need to use the electronic resources available on the web page to create a full day’s menu that is nutritionally balanced, based on the food guide pyramid. Students will then need to present the information to the class. This is up the student, but must use technology. Examples are a multimedia presentation (KidPix slide show, PowerPoint, HyperStudio), a poster, or a brochure. Students can work on this project individually or in small groups.Assessment
Students will be assessed using the rubric found on the web page. Their menus need to include 3 meals and one snack. They need to be nutritionally balanced. The method of presentation must fit the task. The presentation must be organized and include all relevant information.
