Brief Description
Students will select a topic
to research and present to the class in a multimedia format. Students will
choose PowerPoint, Hyperstudio or a webpage as the application for the
multimedia project.

Accommodations for Special Needs
Special Education and limited
ESL students will be able to work with a partner as necessary.
Procedures
Day One:
Provide overview of project.
Brainstorm possible topics, and have students select topics. They should
complete and submit the final project planning
form.
Begin research. Students will
need to have access to multimedia encyclopedias and the internet.
Day Two:
Continue research.
Day Three:
Begin planning of mutlimedia
presentation. Students should complete a storyboard or outline of presentation
and have it approved by the teachers.
Example:
Webpage: How many pages will
be created? What information and graphics will go on each page? What links
will be included?
PowerPoint: What information
and graphics will go on each slide?
Hyperstudio: What information
and graphics will go on each card? How will the stack be arranged?
Days Four and Five:
Complete multimedia presentations.
Day Six:
Share presentations to the
class.
Self evaluate the projects.
Assessment
Students will complete a self-evaluation/reflection
(see attached).
