Objectives:

Academic

*Students will practice test taking skills

*Students will access URL http://www.funbrain.com to practice for math

test taking skills ie., Stanford 9

*Students will work in cooperative pairs

Technological:

Students will access the above URL by login using the teacher’s name and the student’s name, and taking multiple choice test using the mouse and the keyboard.

Pre-Requisite Technology Skills

*Be familiar with keyboard, the mouse and some skill using Windows 95/ Internet

Materials

*Computer with Internet Access

*Paper and pencil

Procedures

*Step 1, access Netscape Navigator on the Internet

*Step 2, access http://www.funbrain.com locate Quiz box, type in teacher’s

name and under student password section, then the student’s

name in student ID section.

*Step 3, students work in cooperative pairs talking about the math

questions and answers.

*Step 4, cooperative pairs will go over answers to corrections and

scores.

*Step 5, Exit the Netscape Navigator and shut down the computer

properly.

 

Assessment:

Teacher observation and discussion as a whole group activity

Following the lesson.
