Internet and Current Events
Objectives:
Academic
students, after reading about current events in Time Mag. For Kids, will be able to add to
their knowledge of current events by accessing the Internet.
Technology
students will be able to use EZ-Find at the River as a search engine to access news sources.
State Standard 2
Pre-requisite technology skills
the students will need to be able to use the computer keyboard, the mouse and be able navigate the Internet.
Materials
Computer, Internet access, the URL http://www.the river.com/The River/Explore/ezfind.html
Procedures
Students will go to the above URL and access national news to get information on the current event we will be researching.
Assessment
Students will be able to access the assigned URL and complete a written assignment extending what additional information they have learned from the Internet.
