Solar System Stumpers II

OBJECTIVES:

Academic: Students will search for information regarding the solar system to tie into their research paper project.

Technological: Continue developing technological skills on computer and within Internet.

PRE-REQUISITE: Students will need to know how to start the computer, use the mouse, icons, and how to get to Netscape Communicator and Keeling’s Home Page.

MATERIALS:

Handout

Writing Instrument per partnership

PROCEDURES:
  1. Teacher will assist students in finding Trackstar.
  2. Students will go to Keyword Search and type in Mary Wallum.
  3. Computer will bring up all tracks created by Mary Wallum and click on "Track 2."
  4. Students will click on "Frames" and then proceed with a partner to answer the questions for the four sites.

ASSESSMENTS:

Students will be assessed by teacher according to the number of correct responses and their ability to find the sites.
