Concentration: Fun Match Game

Objectives:

Academic:

Students will be able to follow the teacher's directions, read directions at the site, and play a concentration

type matching game.

Technological:

Standard I

Pre-Requisite Technology:

Students should be familiar with basic technology skills such as using the mouse, keyboard, technology

vocabulary, and URLs.

Materials:

1. Computers with Internet access to Netscape and Peggy Steffen's Home Page.

2. URL site http:Hfunbrain.coni/cgi-bin/fm.cgi.

Procedure:

1. Open your browser to the Internet and go to Peggy Steffen's Home Page.

2. Click on Fun Brain.

3. Look at the box that says KIDS and has a picture of a giraffe head. Click on MORE GAMES to go the games menu.

4. Scroll down to the bottom box that says EXTRA and click on FUN MATCH.

5. Click on your theme to determine the type of pictures you want on the cards.

6. Click on EASY under DIFFICULTY then click on START GAME on the bottom of the screen.

7. Now you are at the game. Click on 2 boxes, then click on the GO button.

8. If you get a match, the cards will be removed. If you don't get a match, click on PICK AGAIN and select 2 more cards.

9. The giane is over when you have matched all of the pairs.

10. Click on PLAY FUN MATCH AGAIN. You can choose a new category and get more pairs to match. You can change the level of difficulty by clicking on MEDIUM or DIFFICULT.

Assessment:

Teacher will monitor and observe students playing the game.
