Internet Lesson Plan

Academic: The students will use Internet resources to practice, reinforce and demonstrate their knowledge of the basic food groups and nutritional facts. The students will read and follow written directions R -F1, R-F2,R-F3, R-F6

Technology: The students will use the mouse, identify icons, and use pull down menus.

Pre-requisite Technology Skills: Standard 1

The student must be familiar with technological vocabulary such as mouse, keyboard, icon, drag, click, pull down, menu.

Computer with Internet access

Turn on the computer

Click on the Netscape Communicator icon

Click on the location box, highlight it, then press the delete key one time

Type in the URL http://Funschool.com/

Use the down arrow to scroll down

Click on Second Grade

Click on the game titled Bon Apetit

Follow the directions on the screen to complete the activities while completing the accompanying handouts.

Students will complete the attached worksheet to identify the required information.

Teacher will use observation and discussion to assess understanding and application.
