Have you ever heard Mariachi music?  This type of music is very popular within the Hispanic culture and is traditionally heard during Cinco de Mayo celebrations.  In this activity you will listen to a few short  clips of mariachi music and write a critique of the music.

Directions:

1.  Print out this page before starting the activity.

2.  Have a pencil and a piece of paper to write your music critique.

3.  Click on the link  Mariachi music and click on any five music clips that you would like to listen to.

4. While listening to the music clips, think about the following questions:

5.  When finished listening to the music clips, write a paragraph answering the above three questions.  (You may listen to them again to help answer the questions.)

6. Click on BACK when finished.

How you will be graded:

Your teacher will collect your music critiques and grade your writing skills.  You will be expected to answer the three questions clearly in complete answers.
